Berlin
Berlin, the German capital city, is less than 800 years old. Its foundation and development
was based upon the decision of Prince Elector Frederick II to set his residence there.
Royal Residence, Imperial Capital of Prussia, center of Nazi dictatorship, a divided city
after World War II (Berlin Wall) and finally reunification - all this suffering, unrighteousness
and destruction but also great courageousness - made this city what it is now, an incomparable and
open minded one in the world.
Andreas and I visited Berlin and Potsdam many times. Here some impressions:
